What’s in the bag? Dave and Tom Grip Edition.
With my set I have gone for a bit of a mix.
with the Golf Pride Multi Compound Align on the driver, I love the mix
of cotton cord in the upper hand area which is great for dealing with
the British weather and rubber in the lower hand for great feel, the
align ridge on the back of the grip also helps me square the club face
On my irons I have the Golf Pride Z Grip Cord Align, these are firm and super grippy offering amazing feel.
the wedges I have midsize grips to stop my hands flicking through the
ball and on the LW – I have the multi compound plus 4 – the 4 layers of
tape on the bottom half make such a difference when needing ‘soft’ hands
around the greens.
went for a bit of a change this year having previously used the Golf
Pride Plus 4 Grips and the Lamkin Z5 over the last couple of seasons.
This year, after Jack recommended them I have gone for the Golf Pride Z-
Grip Cord through the bag. As Dave mentioned, they are a firm grip; in
fact, they are Golf Prides firmest cord grip. The Z Grip combines two
layers of texturing for feedback and a deep “Z”-shaped texture pattern
that winds vertically around the grip for control.
weather still very dodgy the grips benefit from a moisture-wicking
brushed cotton cord for added stability and traction in all weather
They also look great for anyone who wants to add a stylish, fresh new look to their clubs.
